October 26th 2006 - General Dynamics UK strengthens Executive Team for FRES and AFV programmes

LONDON, United Kingdom - General Dynamics United Kingdom Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has announced that Steve Rowbotham has been appointed as Vice President of the Company's newly formed fourth business unit, Ground Systems. Rowbotham will play a key role as General Dynamics UK builds on its leading role in major Armoured Fighting Vehicle programmes for the MoD, including the Future Rapid Effects System (FRES).

Rowbotham brings a strong record of success in key senior positions at Marconi Electronics Systems and BAE Systems, including Engineering Director of RO Defence, and most recently as Managing Director of BAE Systems Land Systems Munitions.
